The single room was spacious and had a lovely view of the seafront, making for a pleasant retreat after a day out. The atmosphere in the bar area with a local pianist added a nice touch to the evening.
The bed could've used wider and longer pillows, which made for some inconvenience. Filling the kettle using the bathroom sink tap was a bit tricky, and the windows looked a tad rickety, needing some updates for better soundproofing and security. the balcony access restrictions felt a bit limiting for adults, even if safety was a top consideration.

i had a great time at southend central hotel, close to beach, city centre, train station & southend airport. the spacious and comfy single room came with a lovely view of the seafront. the atmosphere in the bar was fantastic, especially with the local pianist playing. friendly staff made my stay even better!
